Back in the good old days when people hunted dinosaurs and dinosaurs ate people, Wellness did not exist. They use their pure, basic instinct to live. Their primary concern was to survive. It was eat or be eaten. They were constantly on the move because they cannot afford to become prey to all the hunters around them. People were on adrenalin drive. They were on survival mode.
They were in very stressful situations every moment of their lives.
But the good thing is they didn't know it. They had no concept of stress. I'm pretty sure that it will never occur to them; to take time and evaluate the stressful situation, look for a therapist, listen to isochronic or take time out and go on a vacation.
I’m not sure if they have any notion of anything else except preserving their body, remember, not to be eaten alive. They did not get a massage or go to a chiropractor because their body hurts from the constant running and falling and getting beat up by others who were also as stressed as everyone else.
I sometimes wonder how we will fare under the same circumstances?

Wellness is an active process that allows people to make positive choices in creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
It includes a positive approach to life and health that helps to maximize the individual's potential. Wellness is the understanding and integration of the relationship of mind, body and spirit into one's philosophy of living.
A personal wellness lifestyle is associated with good physical health, emotional and spiritual stability, improved personal relationships, as well as increased career satisfaction.
Wellness can be thought of as existing along a continuum from illness to wellness. Therefore, being well is more than simply being disease free. Being well suggests optimal health, aliveness, and energy as well as a profound sense of well-being. www.iona.edu/studentlife/counsel/wellness/ - 8k
